Con Son Pagoda, known by its literary name Thien Tu Phuc Tu, was founded in the Tran dynasty and is one of the three patriarchal seats of the Truc Lam Zen school of Dai Viet. The site preserves three National Treasures: the Tam The Buddha statue set, the Thanh Hu Dong stele and the Con Son Tu Phuc Tu Bi stele. The Con Son Pagoda Festival is held from the 16th to the 23rd day of the first lunar month to commemorate the passing of the Third Patriarch, the Venerable Huyen Quang, with many rites and performances imbued with the Buddhist spirit.
